Our story
After 25+ years in the lawncare and groundsman industries, our founder Adam branched out on his own to combine two of his passions; turf and sustainability. In previous roles he pushed eco practices such as caring for grass culturally over chemically, using sustainable machinery fuels and organic lawncare products. Adam has experience working at Premier League teams, top 100 golf clubs, and National Sports centers. He has seen the industry change drastically throughout his years, and wanted to part of the positive changes.
Closely following the progress of other clubs and grounds that are paving the way for eco practices, Adam takes inspiration from clubs such as Forest Green FC who are working towards carbon-neutral status such as electric machinery and team bus, and an irrigation system using rainwater and greywater from matchdays. More inspiration comes from Galatasaray who installed 4.2MW of solar on their stadium roof; enough to power 2000 houses. At The Green Space we use as many of these practices as possible - just on a smaller scale!
The Green Space carry Adam's vision of a more sustainable future in everything we do. From a ban on chemical lawncare products, to solar-powered office machinery, to a pledge to print only when needed, only on recycled paper. We are constantly evaluating our workplace to make it better for our customers, our staff and our planet.
